Remembering The Good
In the Jesus Fellowship
Some bits of memories

(These are not in any particular order.)
The Jesus Fellowship story is a Big story, but I want to write some of my own personal memories.
I feel thankful for those years.
I remember Noel.
He welcomed me at an Ashburnham Church Week/“Retreat”.
He was sitting with some younger men.
A friend introduced me to him.
I remember Noel gripping my shoulder, and saying, "We'll be true to you, bro!" I was 27 years old.
We called the church Zion.
"Zion, Dwelling of God…", was how our song went.
Noel's birthday was the 25th of December! We didn't celebrate Christmas, but we did celebrate Noel's birthday (and everybody else's birthdays when they came round on the calendar.)
New Creation Farm was where Noel lived, and one of the Farm sisters made him a birthday cake. He announced in the full assembly meeting that, "King Betty's cake was good!" And what he was demonstrating was not only that he appreciated the cake, but also that the sisters are the same as brothers in terms of God, and she was therefore "King Betty!"

When thinking back, and also looking at our relationships right now, I can see the depth of loyalty and care as it was built into our attitudes – built upon things Noel taught about the covenant relationship we have with each other and with God…
Definitely it was (and is) very Special.
How good to recall the evenings at Cornhill, when we crowded together in the Kings Room under the direction of Norwegian sister Irene, to put thousands of copies of our magazine into envelopes and prepare them to be posted all around the world and the UK!
What a buzz, what a fellowship, what a work bee.
Like seeds scattered.
I am thankful for much of the foundational work that God did through the Jesus Fellowship…
God is fully Sovereign. Churches are our attempt to follow Him. But He is Head.
I remember “Ministry for Ministries” at New Creation Farm.
Noel and John Devoted (Thomason) prayed over me. I received the gift of wisdom.
We learnt how to impart gifts by the laying on of hands on Jesus Name.
Perhaps We Are In An Ebenezer Moment:
We can rejoice and be thankful in How He’s Kept Us in our Pioneering efforts, and how far He’s Brought Us….
